“Not Found” - The monument cannot be found or located.Please add details in the comments section.
“Recovered” - Previously listed as “Not Found” monument was located and intact.
“Destroyed” - Poor, disturbed, mutilated, or requires maintenance.
Survey Mark Photographs Instructions
Camera Settings
- Landscape orientation
- Highest resolution available
- Focused clearly
(1) Extreme closeup (Fill frame)
(2) Eye-level (a distance of 5-6 feet)
(3) Horizontal view (a distance of approximately 10-30 feet) Photographs 2 and 3 require a small, temporary sign on the photograph. Use small sign with large clear letters (e.g. white board with dark marker) or use a photo editing software and add the text to the image. Ensure that the sign does not cover any portion of the mark, the monument, or any important feature.

TIP #1: Take a black Sharpie and trace over the stamping or rub a yellow crayon across the stamping to highlight the letters and numbers giving more contrast.
